Pressure gauge – A pressure gauge allows quick confirmation that the unit is operating properly.

Isolation valves -  All units are fitted with an isolation valve for each regulator hose port.  This will allow a single diver using only one regulator to positively isolate the other regulator air supply.

Associated piping – all of the units piping is brass or stainless steel – no carbon steel, galvanized steel, plastic fittings, or black iron is used.  This guarantees many years of reliable rust free operation and clean, tasteless breathing air.  Manifold structural fittings are cold welded giving the manifold assembly an extraordinary strength.

Regulator pressure hose – a flexible, 3/8” ID, 50 foot, fabric braided, high visibility, kink-resistant hose is used to bring the breathing air down to the regulator.  This hose is approved for breathing air and will impart no perceptible taste to the diver; it is rated to 300 psi working pressure.  At the end of the this hose, an attached 2 foot scuba regulator hose couples with the regulator.  All units are fitted with 52 foot hoses. Optional 100 foot hoses can be purchased for all dive units.

Regulator – the regulator is a Hog brand, quality, diaphragm type, balanced SCUBA regulator with external adjustment for ease of breathing. See photo of this regulator at top of this page.  See the "drawings" page for instructions on how to adjust the HOG regulator.

Container – The components fit into a high durability rigid Canadian made container with a swing open lid which is lockable. This container is very strong and reinforced.  Also with the lid closed, it doubles as a nice table with cup holders for your boat.
The container measures 31 X 17.5 X 14 inches.

Tanks - All units are fitted with both a steel tank and a PVC tank.  The steel tank is factory built with an internal corrosion resistant coating.  The PVC tank is naturally corrosion proof.  The steel tank for our application acts as a primary manifold where the compressor air discharge, the tank relief valve, the regulator manifold, and the tank condensate drain is fitted to.  The steel tank gives exceptional strength and support for all of these components.
Both tanks together gives the unit a total air storage capacity of 1021 cubic inches.

Electrical Controls – the SCUBA Breathers electrical controls are manufactured by Condor electrical in Germany, who has been making electrical controls since 1937.  All of the electrical work is built to the latest U.S. National Electrical Code, is approved by Underwriters Laboratory, and the compressor unit bears the European CE mark.

Detailed description of components

In the design of the SCUBA Breather, no cost was spared as to the quality of the parts and materials that went into manufacturing it.  It takes 56 different parts to build a dual regulator unit SCUBA breather.  Only industrial grade (not hobbyist grade) components are used.  For tankless diving, there is no better dive equipment on the market.

- SCUBA Breather compressor - an Italian built mediical/laboratory grade, oil-less (breathing air does not come in contact with any lubricated part), continuous duty, smooth running, low noise compressor.  This compressor is extremely durable and is good enough to meet the medical use standards. This unit will last a lifetime if taken care of.  Go to "drawings" page to see the performance curve for this compressor.

The SCUBA Breather compressor never needs to be oiled.

The SCUBA Breather is available in 2 models:
- Model SB201A single regulator system will allow 1 diver to 40 feet deep.
- Model SB202A dual regulator system will allow 1 diver to 40 feet deep, or   2 divers to 25 feet deep.
